Director and Interior Designer – Bachelor in Design (Architecture) & Master of Business

Finalist – Hunter Region Excellence Awards(2018)

Lara is the founder and Director of Tailored HQ.

She has enjoyed a successful career as an expert interior designer for the past 8 years throughout the Newcastle area.

Her work includes residential, office space, retail and hospitality fit outs. She believes designing is more than picking out furniture, it is creating a unique space reflective of the spaces intent.

Her passion for quality design and focus on Australian made products ensures that Tailored HQ offers unique and innovative solutions to your design needs.

You can usually find Lara out to dinner at the newest restaurant and is definitely the one to ask if you’re looking for somewhere with great food and atmosphere.

Jessica McSorley

Interior Designer – Bachelor of Interior Architecture (Honours)

Jessica studied a Bachelor of Interior Architecture at the University of South Australia, from which she graduated with honours in 2015. She has since been working in the field of interior design, joining the team when we first opened our doors in 2017.

With a portfolio of work including residential, retail and hospitality fitouts, Jessica brings fresh insight into current designs and trends.
Her charming attitude assures Tailored HQ customers have exceptional, timely service from all outside suppliers.

Caitlin Stevenson

Interior Designer – Diploma of Interior Design

Caitlin has a lengthy background in Event Management and Styling, Marketing and Promotions prior to pursuing her passion in Interior Design. She is a qualified Interior Designer and holds a Diploma of Interior Design and Decoration. Caitlin has been on board with THQ since the beginning, when we opened our doors in May 2017.

She is known for her precision and attention to detail. From concept to construction, she prides herself on her willingness to go the extra mile to ensure clients get the best results possible. She has a curated eye and urban-luxe style, preferring quality finishes and details with timeless elegance.

Caitlin enjoys getting her hands dirty with her own home renovation.You’ll find her on most weekends either covered in dust, or working in her garden.

Katrina Sandie

Design Consultant – Bachelor Of Business (Marketing), Currently studying a Diploma Of Interior Design

With Katrina recently relocating from Sydney to Newcastle, for the last 4 years, she has had the rare opportunity to work with some of the most renowned furniture brands and interior design practices in Australia.

In this time, she worked on both large-scale commercial and residential projects whilst studying a Diploma of Interior Design at Billy Blue College. Katrina has developed a keen eye for unique and exceptional quality finishes. She will leave no stone unturned until that perfect solution is found for your project!

Before diving into the world of design, Katrina completed a Bachelor of Marketing Degree and joined the fast-paced FMCG industry. She drove branding, marketing, project management, and product development for iconic household products. Naturally, she has become our teams marketing and client services guru, as well as drive clients projects to be delivered on time and within brief!

On weekends you will find Katrina scouring through the local markets and vintage furniture shops to find a rare gem to add to her home collection!

Emma O’Donnell

Social Media Manager – Diploma of Screen and Media

Emma Brings a diverse range of skills to the company. Having focused on Social Media and marketing since we established THQ in January 2017, has now grown our following immensely.

Working across all key roles, assisting in marketing, sales, styling and design and is a keen photographer.

She works part-time as our in-house photographer, videographer and social media Manager, you’ll usually find her crouched on the ground taking photos or tagging along to client meetings to document the process.

Her infectious energy and positivity keeps us going through the difficult days, often using lolly bribes and dance parties.
